FOUNDER & CEO MAYBECK DESIGN
The face behind Maybeck Design, Danielle May Harbeck is a demonstrated leader and celebrated interior designer with an international reputation in the design industry. Australian born & raised Danielle May Harbeck has traveled the world designing & expanding her craft.
Danielle’s background in Architecture organically expanded into an interior focus & passion. She prides herself in bringing a tremendous level of integrity to every single endeavor she takes on.
Her ability to envision the ‘whole’ of a design concept, & then qualify & follow through with the ‘parts’ that would create that vision, is a unique process. She has an innate desire to create & design interiors that exceed her clients’ expectations.
With an eye for quality, a superior sense of style, & a client-centered approach to business, Danielle is an innovative designer, enabling her to deliver focused development, follow through & total completion to each aspect of her designs. Now based in Dallas, TX.

Meet Our Team

Senior Interior Designer
Madara joins Maybeck Design with a strong professional and academic background in Interior Design. She is recognized for her conceptual and visionary ideas, bringing proven technical skills and competence in project management with a demonstrated success in industry projects.
Madara's Interior Design career began in Sri Lanka, where she gained extensive work experience in retail, residential, hospitality, and healthcare sectors of Colombo. Now based in the United States, she brings additional expertise and technical know-how in a variety of commercial design projects including government, sports facility, multi-family, and office remodels.
Academically, she holds a Master of Fine Arts in Interior Design from Iowa State University, and a Bachelor of Honors (First Class) in Interior Design from Northumbria University, UK. Her graduate thesis explored “Narrative Environments in Hotel Design” with a focus on Las Vegas Themed Hotels. In 2023, she was selected as a Metropolis Future 100 Winner, recognizing top graduating students in North America in Architecture and Interior Design.Her design approach is inspired by one of her favorite quotes, “Design is in everything we make, but it’s also between those things - a mix of craft, science, storytelling, propaganda and philosophy.” She strongly believes in the impact of context in creating unique spaces that elevate the overall human experience.
In her free time she enjoys traveling, creative writing and exploring new cultural and culinary adventures. She lives with her husband, Chad, and their cat, Emmy.

Junior Interior Designer
Chloe is a passionate creative professional deeply immersed in the world of media, communications, and interior design. My academic journey, culminating in a Bachelor's Degree in Advertising and a Master's Degree in Media & Communications, laid the foundation for my career. Shortly after my studies, I ventured into the world of interior design, blending my academic background with my love for creativity and aesthetics. I've always seen myself as a lifelong learner, constantly seeking to understand more about the world around us and how we connect within it. My fascination isn't just with what's new in the world of design and visual communication but also with how we got here — the history behind the mediums, the evolution of art movements, and the stories that have been told over the years. It's this blend of past and present that informs my approach and keeps my work fresh and relevant.

Senior Project Architect
Our in-house Senior Project Architect offers the complete range of services, giving each project boundaries, balance, and beauty. Our architect energizes each project with the brilliance of a single, coherent concept by ebbing from the exterior to the interior and back sharing design philosophy throughout. With fifteen years of experience in healthcare, multi-family housing, residential construction, commercial development, and hospitality both abroad and domestically, they drive cost to value and design each project to fit the entire development's vision. Using an efficient project outline, coordination with both new and existing structures and systems, and high-level and in-depth reviews at project checkpoints, they offer a keen focus on carrying out project designs and documentation strategically to fit budget and time.

Project Manager
With a background in commercial Interior Design, Abbi is a creative who specializes in crafting functional and inspiring spaces for corporate offices and multifamily developments. She brings a deep appreciation for intentional, thoughtful design—favoring warm, refined aesthetics that evoke comfort and simplicity without sacrificing sophistication.
Since joining Maybeck, Abbi has quickly advanced into a Project Manager role, a reflection of her exceptional organizational skills, clear communication style, and ability to lead complex projects with confidence and clarity. Her rapid growth within the studio is a testament to her strong work ethic, collaborative spirit, and consistent delivery of high-quality results.
Abbi is known for her meticulous eye for detail and precision in technical drafting, always balancing beauty with purpose. Her approach combines strategic thinking with a grounded design sensibility, allowing her to guide projects from concept through installation while keeping client goals, budgets, and timelines at the forefront.
With a calm, approachable demeanor and a sharp sense of organization, Abbi excels at building trust with clients, consultants, and contractors alike—ensuring that every project feels seamless, thoughtful, and enduring.

Senior Interior Designer & Architect
Dulce is an Architect with a Master’s degree in Architectural Sciences from National Cheng Kung University in Taiwan, she has advanced training in architectural visualization and representation, as well as international courses in timber structures, interior design, and digital fabrication.
Passionate about digital visualization, she brings 12 years of experience creating renderings for a wide range of projects in the United States. Extremely detail-oriented, she collaborates closely with design teams to ensure each image faithfully represents the designers' vision for their clients. Her work focuses on atmosphere, materials, interior styling, and composition.
Originally from Honduras, she currently resides in Chile, where she teaches at the university level and develops off-the-grid architectural projects with her husband (and business partner). She enjoys hiking, pottery, and spending quality time with her family.

Valerie is a Senior Interior Designer with experience in Multifamily, Hospitality, and Residential design. Her design philosophy is centered around the idea that a space should be a reflection of the people who inhabit it. She is committed to providing clients with the highest level of service and takes pride in her ability to create functional and aesthetically pleasing spaces. Throughout her 10-year career in design, what she enjoys most is seeing a project go from concept to completion.

HR Director
Steve Wallish is a seasoned Human Resources executive with over 25 years of experience leading employee-focused initiatives and driving organizational transformation at AT&T. Throughout his career at AT&T, Steve has held multiple leadership positions in HR operations, policy, and strategy, including serving as an HR Business Partner for a diverse range of business units such as HR, legal, marketing, technology, and network operations. His strategic guidance and collaborative approach have empowered teams and leaders to achieve operational excellence and foster inclusive workplace cultures.
In his final role with AT&T as Head of People Analytics, Steve was responsible for HR data architecture, data engineering, strategic reporting and data science leveraging data-driven insights to inform talent strategies and enhance strategic workforce planning, ensuring alignment with business objectives. He is recognized for his adaptability, clear communication, and commitment to supporting both employees and organizational goals. Steve’s expertise in managing complex projects and cultivating productive relationships has made him a trusted advisor to executive leadership and stakeholders across the enterprise.
Outside of his professional endeavors, Steve enjoys spending time with his wife and two young daughters, which contributes to his well-rounded perspective and drive for excellence. Steve is always eager to connect with others, share knowledge, and contribute to the success of any organization or community he is a part of.

Beatrice is a brand designer who helps entrepreneurs and commercial businesses transform their vision into strategic, minimalist brands that connect and convert.

With years of experience in business development and over eight years in residential real estate, Klaudia Giardina brings a strong foundation of relationship-building and strategic growth to Maybeck Design.
As part of the Maybeck Design team, Klaudia brings a results-driven approach to client relations, brand partnerships, and market expansion. She combines her deep understanding of business development with a natural ability to identify opportunities, nurture long-term partnerships, and elevate brand visibility within the luxury commercial design space.
