Multifamily Interior Design That Leases Faster, Renews Longer, and Sells Higher
We turn underperforming assets into leasing tools.
Who Is Maybeck Design?
Maybeck Design is a Dallas based interior design and architecture firm specializing in multifamily repositioning, amenity design, and hospitality-inspired renovations for multifamily developments nationwide.
Multifamily Interior Design & Repositioning
Owners don't reposition a property because it needs new furniture. They reposition because rent growth has stalled, renewals are slipping, or a new competitor down the street is winning the shopper. Multifamily repositioning design is where Maybeck spends most of its time — and it's the work we're built around.
We design (and redesign) the spaces that decide whether a prospect signs a lease on the first tour.
Apartment amenity design — coworking lounges, coffee bars, pet spas, package rooms, and outdoor living spaces that show up in the review section of every listing
Apartment leasing office design — the first five minutes of a tour, redesigned to close
Apartment fitness center design — boutique-studio energy instead of a treadmill graveyard
Apartment model unit design — merchandised units that set the rent comp for the whole property
Multifamily FF&E procurement — sourcing, specifying, and installing furniture, fixtures & equipment on schedule and on budget
Apartment clubhouse design — social hubs that photograph well, tour well, and get used
Industries We Serve
Whatever the industry, the outcome is the same: spaces that perform — driving retention, efficiency, and a clear ROI case for ownership.
-
Ground-up communities, value-add renovations, and full repositioning strategies — designed with the same hospitality mindset as a boutique hotel, because that's what today's renter expects from a clubhouse or leasing lounge.
-
Workplace and coworking office design that balances focus, collaboration, and brand — built to help companies recruit and retain in a hybrid-work market.
-
Where our multifamily and healthcare work borrows its DNA from: boutique hotel and restaurant interiors built around brand storytelling and local culture.
-
Interior design for dermatology offices, med spas, and medical office buildings nationwide — spaces that read as calm and trustworthy to patients while working efficiently for staff and providers.

Creating space with culture in mind is also a way to express and celebrate the client's authenticity.

FAQs
What is multifamily repositioning?
Multifamily repositioning is the process of renovating and re-merchandising an apartment community — typically its clubhouse, amenities, leasing office, and model units — to shift how the property is perceived in its market, allowing owners to raise rents, improve resident retention, and increase asset value. At Maybeck Design, repositioning projects are built around measurable leasing outcomes, not just aesthetics.
How much does an apartment clubhouse renovation cost?
Clubhouse renovation costs vary widely depending on square footage, scope of construction, and FF&E selections, but most multifamily clubhouse projects range from a light refresh (new furniture, finishes, and lighting) to a full gut renovation involving new layouts and structural changes. Maybeck Design provides scope-specific budgets during the initial consultation, based on your property's goals and timeline.
What's the difference between a value-add renovation and a full repositioning?
A value-add renovation typically targets individual units or a single amenity space to raise rents modestly, while a full repositioning is a coordinated strategy across the entire property — clubhouse, amenities, leasing office, and model units — designed to change how the community competes in its market. Maybeck Design works with owners to determine which approach fits their capital plan and market position.
Does Maybeck Design work outside of Dallas?
Yes. Maybeck Design is headquartered in Dallas–Fort Worth and designs multifamily communities nationwide, with active projects in markets including Austin, Denver, Phoenix, Nashville, Atlanta, Charlotte, Tampa, Orlando, and Chicago.
Does Maybeck Design handle FF&E procurement, or just design?
Maybeck Design provides full-service multifamily FF&E procurement — sourcing, specifying, and installing furniture, fixtures, and equipment — in addition to interior design and space planning, so ownership works with a single team from concept through installation.
